I can’t believe February is almost over! It seems like it was gone in the blink of an eye. I guess it is because I got to do so many fun things this month.

So I bought this dress in New York. It was on ridiculous sale and I loved it!! This isn’t actually my first time wearing it—just the first time sharing! The sweater is covering up some beautiful details on the bust, but I was trying to mix it up from the last time I wore it.

I wasn’t very productive this weekend. I still have a good bit of homework to get done today. I don’t know why, but I am already over this trimester….and it’s just the second week. That can’t be good. I don’t know…a small part of me is over everything. I’m just not very motivated right now. Do any of you have advice on how to get motivated? I think a part of it is because all my classes are either night or hybrid classes. I do my best in day classes.  I know my work for those classes was not done during the day, but it just makes a difference. I don’t really know why, though.

Blah. I guess I should get to working on that homework!! See you soon :)

2.22.12

Helllloooooooo! I had a lot of fun today. I finally got to see Becca after A WHOLE WEEK apart. Let me tell you, that was no fun. I guess that means I am packing up my bags and following them wherever they go. :) I had the opportunity to shoot in one of my favorite buildings today for the first time!! Literally, I almost could not stand how happy I was..I was that happy. Maybe I will share some of the photos with you guys later this week!

I hope you all are enjoying your week. For those of you at Carey, I hope you all are having a good first week back. I am…eh. not-ish. This trimester is just going to be a lot of work and I am already concerned. Oh well. Just gotta get it done!!!

Today’s Outfit: Giving Orange a Try!

2.7.12

I’ve never been a big fan of the color orange, but lately I’ve been trying to ease myself into it since it’s such a big color right now. I think this lipstick looks much more orange in person, although Jennifer says it’s “coral.”

I am finished with finals! I don’t really feel that excited about it, just because I’ve got a good bit on my plate this week. I don’t know how that happened either…I guess all the things I’ve been putting off through the last trimester got shoved into this week. I am excited about not having any tests or studying to do this week! I would love to sleep for a few days, though! How has your day gone? Glad it is not Monday? :P I know I am!

Today’s Outfit: Era of Elegance

1.17.12

So I took these pictures with the tripod. I’ll never get better with the tripod, because I never use it when I don’t have to! I guess I need to make myself practice with it, but I just get so frustrated! Anyway, that’s why these pictures stink and also why my clothes are so wrinkly. I was running back and forth!! Haha I am sure people driving by enjoyed my show. At least I figured out how to take close ups without it being blurry.

I bought this skirt a long time ago at Anthropologie because they were basically giving it away, but this is the first time I’ve worn it.  The top part is like pulled to the side and fits me weird. I probably wouldn’t wear it without something over it. It’s just a bizarre look. But I do love the color of it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this “brooch.” It’s actually a clip no earring, so be on the look out for that! :) My sister in law gave them to me for Christmas because she knows how much I love cameos. That’s why I named this outfit “Era of elegance.”  Cameos are just a delightful nod to the past. My mother has a cameo-esce painting somewhere of herself.  Also, one of my favorite bloggers, Tick Tock Vintage made one of her and one of her husband that hung on the back of their chairs at their wedding reception. Now they hang above their beds. I know that has a different name than cameo, but it just flew right out of my head!

I just got home from class. I have an appointment at noon and then it’s off to the nursing home. I hope we are still working on the boards today. I enjoy my silent crafting time. It’s kinda soothing at times. I’m actually starting to really get into this activity director thing. Not necessary where I am now, but just in general.

My “tripod” face :(
